Jewellery Insurance Policy
Diamonds and fine jewellery are valuable investments—emotionally and financially. While we ensure safe packaging and insured delivery, we strongly recommend obtaining independent insurance coverage once your jewellery is in your possession.
1. Delivery Insurance
All shipments are fully insured while in transit. Once the package has been delivered and signed for, responsibility transfers to the customer.
2. Independent Insurance Recommendation
We encourage customers to insure their jewellery against:
- Loss
- Theft
- Accidental damage
- Stone loss
- Natural disasters
Coverage may be obtained through a specialized jewellery insurance provider or added to your homeowner’s or renter’s insurance policy.
3. Documentation Provided
To assist with insurance applications, we provide:
- Official purchase invoice
- Diamond grading certificate (GIA, IGI, or equivalent)
- Detailed product specifications
- Valuation certificate (upon request)
4. Limitation of Liability
Southern Star Diamonds is not liable for loss, theft, or damage occurring after confirmed delivery. Insurance protection is solely the responsibility of the purchaser.
