These Terms & Conditions govern your purchase, use of this website, and relationship with Southern Star Diamonds (SSD). By accessing or using our site or ordering any product, you agree to be bound by these Terms & Conditions.
If you do not agree with any part of these Terms & Conditions, please do not use the website or make a purchase from SSD.
1. About Southern Star Diamonds
Southern Star Diamonds (SSD) is a designer and retailer of premium handcrafted diamond jewellery. All products sold through our website or stores are subject to the terms outlined below.
2. Acceptance of Orders
- When you place an order, you are making an offer to purchase jewellery and accessories at the price listed on the website.
- SSD may accept or decline your order at our discretion. Acceptance occurs only when SSD sends a confirmation email confirming your order has been accepted.
- If SSD is unable to fulfill an order (e.g., out of stock, pricing error), we will notify you and refund any amounts you paid.
3. Pricing and Payment
- All prices are displayed in AUD (Australian Dollars) unless otherwise stated.
- Prices may change at any time without notice, but changes will not affect orders already accepted.
- Payment must be made in full at the time of ordering.
- SSD accepts major credit cards, debit cards, and selected alternate payment methods where available.
4. Shipping & Delivery
- SSD offers free shipping within Australia.
- Delivery timeframes are estimates and subject to courier conditions. SSD is not liable for
- delivery delays outside our control (customs, natural events, etc.).
- Risk and ownership of goods transfer to you once the jewellery is delivered to your address.
5. Returns & Exchanges
5.1 Return Eligibility
- Damaged Items: Returns are accepted if the item arrives damaged. You must notify SSD within 5 working days of delivery.
- Size Issues: Items that do not fit are not eligible for return or refund. However, SSD offers one complimentary resizing within 60 days of delivery for eligible designs.
- Custom or bespoke designs are non-returnable and non-refundable once production begins.
5.2 Return Procedure for Damaged Items
To initiate a return for damaged items:
- Email contactus@southernstardiamonds.com with your order number, clear photos, and a description of the issue.
- SSD will review and provide return instructions.
- After SSD receives and inspects the returned item, we will issue a refund or replacement within 7 days of confirmation.
6. Complimentary Resizing
SSD offers one complimentary resizing for eligible Jewellery within 60 days of delivery. Resizing eligibility depends on design and metal type. Resizing terms and specific conditions will be communicated at the time of request.
7. Warranty & Quality Guarantees
- SSD guarantees that jewellery sold is free from manufacturing defects at the time of delivery.
- If you believe your item has a genuine manufacturing defect, contact us for assessment.
- This warranty does not cover normal wear and tear, misuse, loss, theft, or damage outside manufacturing faults.
8. Intellectual Property
- All content on the SSD website including logos, designs, artwork, photographs, and text is owned by SSD or used under license.
- You may not reproduce, distribute, or use content without written permission from SSD.
9. Privacy
Your privacy is important to us. SSD’s Privacy Policy outlines how we collect, use, and protect your personal information. By using our website, you agree to our Privacy Policy terms.
10. Liability Limitation
To the fullest extent permitted by law, SSD is not liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from the use of our products or services.
11. Changes to Terms
SSD reserves the right to modify or update these Terms & Conditions at any time. Changes are effective immediately upon posting to the website.
12. Governing Law
These Terms & Conditions are governed by the laws of Australia. Any disputes will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of Australian courts.
